Lemington Riverside Primary School

What do our families say?

Every year we ask our families for feedback on what we do well as a school and how we can be even better. Here is the feedback our families gave us in summer 2025:

100% of respondents to the survey said that they would recommend Lemington Riverside Primary School to another family.

What people say we do well as a school…

  • 100% of families said they would recommend Lemington Riverside Primary School to others.
  • Parents and carers praised our amazing staff, who “always go above and beyond” and create a caring, supportive environment.
  • Many families highlighted how well we support children with additional needs, ensuring every child feels understood, valued and encouraged to thrive.
  • Communication between school and families was frequently mentioned as a real strength, helping parents feel informed and supported.
  • Our focus on giving children a happy, safe and positive school experience really stood out, with families describing how their children have grown in confidence, character and learning.
  • Parents also appreciated the school’s efforts to provide affordable trips and enriching experiences, ensuring all children have access to memorable opportunities.
Here are just a few of the lovely things our families said:
“Everything is amazing at this school – the support you give my child and myself is outstanding.”
“The staff are amazing with the kids, always looking out for them when they need it most.”
“You’ve helped my child come on so well – I’m proud to say she goes to this school.”
“All the teachers work brilliantly with the children. They always go above and beyond to help.”
“I couldn’t recommend a school more than I do this one.”
We’re so proud of the wonderful feedback and grateful for the strong partnership we share with our families. Together, we will continue to make Lemington Riverside a place where every child can shine.

What people think would make us even better…

(Our responses to the points raised are in blue)

  • School meals – a few parents felt that food choices could be more varied and appealing. We continue to work closely with our catering team to adapt and expand our menu choices so that they meet the taste of our children - we have made lots of changes to our menus to make sure that we include the popular meals on our menu, whilst keeping a healthy balance. We now always offer two hot meal options per day, jacket potatoes with a range of toppings, sandwiches, wraps and a salad bar. There are always at least two dessert choices too.
  • Communication – while many praised communication, some suggested more consistent updates on individual pupil progress (e.g. short notes or photos) and clearer notice for special events such as World Book Day. We have our school website calendar which can also be accessed through the Greenhouse Schools app - we have tried to input all of the dates for the school year into the calendar as soon as possible. Sometimes events will happen at slightly shorter notice, but we will always give parents/carers as much notice as we can. With regards to progress, from September 2025 we are using the Seesaw app across school so that parents/carers can see regular updates about what your child has been up to in school.
  • Clubs and activities – parents would welcome a wider range of after-school clubs (e.g. art, karate). We work closely with our Trust partners to provide a range of after school clubs through Theatre Royal, Centre for Life etc. We will continue to explore further after school club options throughout the school year.
  • Organisation of trips/residentials – one or two comments suggested these could be planned and communicated more smoothly. We now have dedicated pages on our school website for our residentials where we share all information about up and coming residentials. For our France residential, we also have in-person meetings with parents/carers where we share all information and questions can be asked. Parents/carers are also welcome to speak to staff at any point in the year if they have specific queries or questions about our trips and residential visits.
  • Parent inclusion – a request for more opportunities to see and understand how their children are doing at school. We want to develop this too and welcome parents/carers in to the school building more often - we have built in some events in to the school diary this academic year and will share these with parents/carers in due course!
