Lemington Riverside Primary School

A welcome from our Headteacher

Welcome to a primary school that dares to be different and celebrates its uniqueness…

We are Lemington Riverside Primary School – an inclusive, vibrant school at the heart of our community, overlooking the beautiful River Tyne. We welcome children from age 3 to 11 and are a one-form-entry school, meaning there is one class in each year group.

Our home is a stunning Edwardian building, with bright, spacious classrooms, breakout areas, libraries, ICT facilities and an inspiring outdoor environment. Alongside this, our on-site community hub offers a variety of activities, services and support for our pupils, their families, and the wider community.

We believe that primary education should be about more than academic success. Our children leave Lemington Riverside with not only strong results but also with treasured experiences and memories that will last a lifetime. Our distinctive ‘Lemington Riverside Experience’ provides opportunities to take part in a rich variety of cultural, creative and sporting activities.

Our dedicated team of teachers and teaching assistants bring expertise, passion and innovation to every classroom. They engage regularly in training and educational research to ensure our curriculum remains ambitious, exciting and relevant.

We are equally proud of our outstanding pastoral support. With an in-house counsellor, occupational therapist, and access to a wide network of skilled professionals, we ensure every child receives the care and guidance they need to thrive.

At Lemington Riverside, we like to say we are “bravely different and proudly unique” – because we’re not afraid to think differently and to do what works best for our children and community.

We’re always delighted to welcome prospective families. If you’d like to arrange a visit, please get in touch using the contact details on our website – we’d love to meet you.

Best wishes,

Craig Heeley
